A trip to Sterling

Yesterday, I took a train up to Stirling. I was pleasantly surprised by both the weather and the city itself.
Everything was either bright green or cobble-stoned. Well, almost... (In short, everything looked lovely.)
After I had a look around the city...
... I made my way to Cambuskenneth Abbey ...
... and the infamous Wallace monument! (I basically hiked all day.)
I guess I earned this view.

Doesn't it look somewhat majestic?
field tripping, yeah

In the afternoon, I treated myself to veganised blueberry and cinnamon pancakes at The Fat Cyclist Café, and they were probably the best pancakes that I've ever eaten. Honestly.
It started to rain shortly before I left, and seeing what it did to Stirling actually strengthened my opinion that ...
... everything looks better in Scotland when the weather is bad.

(Various methods of distracting myself from the results of the UKref didn't really work...)
